On the grounds of the old mining industry in Genk, several buildings were restored and converted into a large complex with cinema, cultural center and two concert halls. The new C-MINE building served to symphoniaASSAI as an ideal stage to perform a program referring to the concept of old and new energy.

The opening work of this concert was commissioned by city of Genk and the energy company Nuhma, and it is based on this energy subject through music and film, in a collaboration between Wouter Lenaerts (composer) and production company hetbeweegt (directors Joris Matheï and Niels Kelchtermans).
